As we near the end of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, I want to take this opportunity to thank you and your co-workers for the tremendous work you do to serve and protect the public.

Members of Teamsters 117 joined together today with grocery store workers, baristas, adjunct professors, nursing home workers, students, and other labor activists for a march through the streets of Seattle to "raise the alarm for workers' rights."

On Thursday, April 28, we will be conducting drop-in interviews for all King County Teamsters at the King Street building as a part of our Every Voice Counts campaign.

With the unexpected passing of Galen Richardson of the Monroe Correctional Complex, we mourn the loss of a highly respected officer who was always looking after his co-workers and always had an encouraging word to share.

At Local 117, we are so member focused that I rarely use my message to recognize the wonderful staff we are so blessed to have.
