AIRWAY HEIGHTS CORRECTIONS CENTER
  • Business Representative Humbert attended contract negotiations in Tukwila on June 4 and 5.  View a negotiations update here.  Your Union bargaining committee met again with the State for negotiations on June 25 and 26 in Olympia. Look for an update from those bargaining sessions on your Union’s website.
  • Representative Humbert met with AHCC custody staff and management regarding a multidisciplinary focus group and the conversion to electronic leave requests.  A follow-up meeting was held on June 23.
  • Representative Humbert visited the facility on June 2, June 9 -12, June 23 – 24, and June 27.
  • Representative Humbert met with WSP and AHCC pharmacy staff on June 9 regarding pharmacy consolidation.
  • Representative Humbert was in Olympia on June 12 to bargain over Classification Counselors working out of class.
COYOTE RIDGE CORRECTIONS CENTER

  • Representative Dean attended Grievance Review Panel at AHCC on May 28 and 29.
  • Representative Dean attended political candidate interviews at Local 839 in Pasco on May 30.
  • On June 12, Representative Dean met with CI at the facility to discuss upcoming implementation of the closed food loop service in the kitchen.
 WASHINGTON STATE PENITENTIARY

  • Representative Humbert met with WSP and AHCC pharmacy staff on June 9 regarding pharmacy consolidation.
  • Representative Humbert was at the facility from June 16 through June 20.
  • Representative Humbert had several pre-disciplinary hearings and investigatory interviews with management while at WSP.
  • On June 12, Representative Humbert was bargaining in Olympia regarding Classification Counselors working out of class.
  • Representatives Humbert and Dean were at the facility on June 16 to bargain over changes regarding E-Cigarettes.
  • Representatives Dean and Humbert had a labor management (LMCC) meeting at the facility on June 17. One topic of discussion involved the removal of staff from living units to facilitate evidence-based programming.
