Contract negotiations over the 2017-2019 successor labor agreement for Local 117 at the Department of Corrections got underway today at our Teamsters Headquarters in Tukwila.

As we near the end of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, I want to take this opportunity to thank you and your co-workers for the tremendous work you do to serve and protect the public.

With the unexpected passing of Galen Richardson of the Monroe Correctional Complex, we mourn the loss of a highly respected officer who was always looking after his co-workers and always had an encouraging word to share.
