MONROE CORRECTIONAL COMPLEX

  • On December 2 and again on December 16, we held our holiday membership meetings at MCC.  At the meetings, we discussed our interest arbitration award and the upcoming legislative session.  We also screened our interest arbitration video.  Turnout for the meetings was good.

  • For the last several months, we have been negotiating over the Department’s policy regarding Specialized Unit Staffing Policies.  In December, we were able to achieve a favorable resolution for the Union through the mediation process.  DOC agreed to withdraw their notice of intent to apply the policy at SOU.   We are now back to status quo.
WASHINGTON CORRECTIONS CENTER
  • On December 10, we held our holiday membership meetings at WCC.  At the meetings, we discussed our interest arbitration award and the upcoming legislative session.  We also screened our interest arbitration video.  Turnout was excellent.
  • Effective January 1st Shop Steward Eric Smith accepted a business representative positions at your Union representing MCC.  Please take a moment to thank Eric for the wonderful work he did as a Steward at WCC.

MISSION CREEK CORRECTIONS CENTER FOR WOMEN
  • On December 11, we held our holiday membership meetings at MCCCW.  At the meetings, we discussed our interest arbitration award and the upcoming legislative session.  We also screened our interest arbitration video.  Turnout for the meetings was exceptional.
  • Effective January 1st Shop Steward Noelle Guenette resigned her position as Shop Steward and Shop Steward Talisa Boad accepted a position at your Union as a business representative covering OCC, CBCC, and SCCC.  Both stewards will be greatly missed.  Please take a moment to thank them for the wonderful work they did at WCCW.
