TNC, Taxi, and For-Hire Drivers Will Hold a Voice for Drivers’ Rally at Seattle City Hall on Wednesday, November 18 at 11 A.M.

Drivers will rally at City Hall on Wednesday, November 18 at 11 A.M. to highlight unfair working conditions in Seattle’s for-hire transportation industry and to demand fair pay, a level playing field, dignity, and respect. At the event, drivers will address a variety of issues such as public safety, driver safety, insurance regulations, deactivation, and low pay.

Drivers will be joined by community and political leaders, including members of the Seattle City Council as well as representatives from the App-Based Drivers Association, the Western Washington Taxicab Operators Association, Working Washington, OneAmerica, and the Martin Luther King Central Labor Council.

After the rally, drivers and community members will deliver a petition to the City Council calling on the City to pass A Voice for Drivers’ legislation that would provide drivers with the right to collectively bargain over their pay and working conditions.
