The Waste Management team definitely brought their A-game on Saturday.
Thanks to everyone who hit the greens with us on Saturday for our Teamsters Local 117 Solidarity Golf Tournament.
We couldn't have asked for a nicer day with tons of camaraderie and a great chow fest afterwards. A few groups (though not many!) even managed to beat the pro on the beautiful waterfall hole 16.
Hard to beat that smooth swing on hole 16.
Together, through your generous contributions, we raised $10k for Teamsters and their families who are looking to further their education with our Local 117 scholarship funds.
Big congrats to our outstanding winning foursome, Giant Loafs: Jeffrey Meeks, Rob Johnson, Ryan Lister, and Kyle Young. Check out all the award winners below:
- 1st place: Giant Loafs
- 2nd place: Team Howell
- 3rd place: Moneyshot

Secretary-Treasurer Paul Dascher shared words of appreciation for all who participated:
"I'm grateful to all who joined us on Saturday. Solidarity is the right word for this tournament. It brought members from different shops, their families, and other union folks together for a relaxing, fun, and spirited day. The weather was phenomenal. Special thanks to Union Reps John Howell, Jr. and Matt Komperda along with our many volunteers for making the event possible. Best of all, we raised a ton of money - $10k - for our scholarships. Appreciate you all and see you next year!"
