It’s election time, and the stakes are incredibly high. Your vote for candidates who share the values of working families will help build stronger communities for all members of Teamsters 117. 

That’s why it’s so important that you mail in your ballot for the 2013 general election immediately. Here just a few of the candidates and issues that may be on your local ballot: 

1. An unprecedented NINE Teamsters – including four Local 117 members at the Department of Corrections – are running for city council; 
2. The largest living wage campaign in the country is happening in the city of SeaTac; 
3. Voters on the Peninsula will decide whether or not to tilt the State Senate in favor of working families;
4. Tacoma voters will decide whether to fix their streets and create dozens of new Teamster jobs.
