The Local 117 Executive Board sponsored two Teamster Police Officers, Jack Myers, a Sergeant at the Port of Seattle and Mark Hackett, an Officer at the University of Washington, to attend National Police Week in Washington D.C. from May 11-17.

The two members were accompanied at the event by Business Representative, Rich Groff.

The annual event, which draws tens of thousands of law enforcement professionals from around the world, honors fallen heroes that have been killed in the line of duty.

This year’s event honored 286 American law enforcement heroes.
