Good news! Lawmakers in Olympia have passed a two-year operating budget for the 2023-2025 biennium that funds the wage increases in our collective bargaining agreement. 

Your wage increases were achieved through the interest arbitration process thanks to a State law our members helped pass in 2019 granting interest arbitration rights to DOC Teamsters. 

The Arbitrator's award calls for a general wage increase for all DOC Teamsters of 6% effective July 1, 2023 and of 4% increase effective July 1, 2024 as well as a one-time bonus of $1500 effective July 1, 2023. The Arbitrator has also awarded range increases for more than 40 classifications.

I want to thank the members on our incredible bargaining committee who spent long hours and several months fighting for a fair contract during negotiations.
