King County Teamsters are getting ready to get back into contract negotiations early next year. As a reminder, we experienced record participation because so many of you and your coworkers engaged with your Union Contract surveys and Demands Meetings from last March through June.

Your Union and the broader Coalition ended up reaching an agreement with the County earlier this year that includes significant increases in County contributions for healthcare, introduces employee medical premiums for some plans, and provides a General Wage Increase of 5.5% for 2025. These changes all go into effect January 2025.

Prior to beginning negotiations for a successor Coalition Labor Agreement followed by our individual Appendices, we want to make sure our members have the opportunity to express any additional interests or priorities for negotiations. While we fully plan to carry those priorities and interests lifted in previous survey results and Demands Meetings discussion into these coming negotiations, we will also be holding several “ALL UNITS” virtual meetings in December.
