The Safe Streets Tacoma campaign is kicking off this Saturday. Can you join us?

Teamsters and other union members will be meeting this Saturday, June 27 @1pm at the Willard School (3201 S. D St.) to discuss how to keep our streets well-maintained and to protect union jobs.

WHAT: Safe Streets Kickoff
WHERE: The Willard School - 3201 S. D St. Tacoma
WHEN: Saturday, June 27 @1pm

Tacoma Citizens for Safer Streets is supporting a levy that will fund street repairs, pothole fixes, sidewalks, ADA accessibility improvements, safer high-use roads, and better connections for people walking, biking, rolling, taking transit, or driving.

This important work is performed by members of Teamsters Local 117.

For about $10 a month per property, this measure will help Tacoma keep up with basic maintenance and improve safety in every neighborhood. The initiative is expected to generate $320 million over 10 years when combined with grants and matching funds.

Please RSVP with Local 117 Union Representative John Howell at [email protected] if you plan to attend.
