Teamsters at the DOC have voted by a wide margin (80% in favor) to approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will modify the overtime provision in our Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The approved agreement allows Sergeants to request voluntary overtime before the Department enforces mandatory overtime for the Officers. You can review the MOU here. 

The Union has signed the agreement and sent it to the DOC for signature. Once the MOU is fully executed, the change will go into effect immediately and will stay implemented until June 29, 2025.

During our contract negotiations next year, we will propose adding this language to our Collective Bargaining Agreement.
