The Seattle City Council is considering legislation that would give drivers in Seattle's for-hire industry (taxis, for-hire drivers, and drivers for companies like Uber and Lyft)  the opportunity to have a voice on the job by coming together to collectively negotiate over their pay and working conditions. 

Come to an important hearing this Friday, October 2 at Seattle City Hall to support drivers!  We will be meeting at 12 noon at the City Hall Plaza on the west edge of City Hall along Fourth Avenue. The hearing will start at 2 P.M. 

This is and incredibly important event.  Passage of this legislation could have a profound effect on how independent contractors are treated in a variety of industries.

It's critical that supporters of the bill fill the Council Chambers to show the Council that we stand with drivers in Seattle's for-hire industry and that we are serious about passing this legislation!
