Do any of these circumstances apply to you?

  • I've recently retired from Teamsters Local 117 employment.
  • I'm planning to retire soon.
  • I've moved out of a Teamsters bargaining unit into a non-represented position.
  • I'm off work due to a serious injury or illness.
  • I've been terminated recently or left Teamsters employment and need to stop my dues.

If so, please request a withdrawal card.

A Union withdrawal card lets us know that you will no longer be working in a Teamsters Local 117 bargaining unit and therefore no longer paying union dues. When you return to a Teamsters 117 represented position, you must notify the Local in order to avoid owing back dues or re-initiation fees. If you return to work at other Teamster-represented employment, you can use your withdrawal status to avoid initiation fees.

When you are on withdrawal, you are considered to have an “inactive” status, and are therefore ineligible to exercise the rights of union membership, such as voting in elections or on contracts. You may request a withdrawal card by calling our Teamsters 117 office at 206-441-4860 or by filling out the form below.
