Today marks the anniversary of the death of Jayme Lee Biendl, the Washington State correctional officer who was tragically murdered in the prison chapel of the Monroe Correctional Complex on January 29, 2011.
Jayme’s murder had a devastating impact on our State’s corrections’ employees and the surrounding community. It reverberated across Washington State, and it struck a painful chord in the family of law enforcement professionals across North America.
