The James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship Fund is no longer accepting applications for scholarship awards for 2020. The deadline for submitting applications was extended due to the coronavirus pandemic to April 14, 2020.

Are you a member of Teamsters Local 117 and the parent of a high school-aged senior in need of money for college or vocational training?

Academic awards range from $1,000 to $10,000. The program also provides vocational/training scholarships.

Scholarships are available for children or dependents of Teamster members.

James R. Hoffa became a Teamster member in 1934 and served as General President for 14 years. In recognition of his tireless service to the Union and its members, Hoffa was honored as General President Emeritus for life. At the November 1999 General Executive Board meeting, General Secretary-Treasurer C. Thomas Keegel presented a resolution to establish the new scholarship fund.
