AUG31-Rally-poster-RWB-82316.jpgWhatever the arbitrator decides in our upcoming interest arbitration hearing next week, one thing is clear. We'll need to come together to hold the State accountable so that we can get our contract funded.

That's why we've helped organize a rally next Wednesday, August 31 from noon to 1 PM in the Capitol Rotunda in Olympia.  We want to let state lawmakers know this next contract is about investing in Washington, and investing in our future.

We will be rallying with other public sector Unions to urge Governor Inslee to invest in his workforce to keep Washington working for our communities.

The state’s recent salary survey showed that 99 percent of state employees are paid below market rate – an alarming trend.

Our state employees’ coalition will call for competitive pay, safe staffing, and workload relief at Wednesday’s rally. RSVP for the rally here

Only YOU can urge the Governor and lawmakers to support meaningful raises for state employees, ensure no more out-of-pocket costs on health insurance, and provide immediate relief of short staffing and workloads. Your voice will make a difference.

Hope to see you on August 31 at the State Capitol.
