Voters in Tacoma will decide whether to pass Proposition 1, the Streets and Grounds Levy that would exact a 2% tax on utility companies to pay for upgrades to Tacoma streets and infrastructure.  The campaign is going strong, but big businesses are fighting back hard against the proposal, and putting out false information about what the Proposition actually does.

Moreover, if the initiative passes, it would create new family wage jobs in Streets & Grounds, where we represent members. But our biggest obstacle is making sure voters know how important passing Prop 1 is, so we need your help!  Please join us Wednesday night and make calls to voters about why passing Prop 1 is so important.
