Woodland Park Zoo education department employees voted overwhelmingly to join their coworkers in becoming members of Teamsters 117. Congratulations to the winning team!

Today, over thirty employees in the Education Department at the Woodland Park Zoo petitioned for Union representation with Teamsters Local 117, filing with the NLRB and delivering a letter to management requesting voluntary Union recognition.

On a sunny day in May, along with toddlers and mothers in bright shirts and summer dresses, I headed to the Woodland Park Zoo.

Congratulations to our members at the Woodland Park Zoo on their new contract! Members voted to ratify the agreement yesterday after an update meeting at the zoo. The vote was unanimous - 100% voted in favor of ratifying the proposal.
