Sarena Davis brings over two decades of experience as an officer, sergeant, and Union Representative to the position.

We are incredibly excited to announce that Sarena Davis will become our Union's new Director of Corrections and Law Enforcement effective May 16.

Sarena has served in a supervisory and support role in this Department for several years under the previous director, Michelle Woodrow, who has resigned from the position to pursue another career opportunity.

As we thank Michelle for her contributions and wish her well in her future endeavors, we are blessed to have Sarena prepared and ready to lead this Department forward.

For over a decade, Sarena has been a strong, effective voice representing public safety members at Teamsters 117. Prior to joining Teamsters staff, Sarena served as an officer, sergeant, and shop steward at the Washington Corrections Center for 12 years.

Sarena has extensive negotiations experience and will be heading up the upcoming DOC negotiations together with our Senior Staff Attorney, Eamon McCleery.

We are especially proud that Sarena will be the first rank-and-file member with experience as a public safety officer to serve as the Director of Corrections and Law Enforcement at Teamsters Local 117.

Sarena is eager to get out into the field and meet you at your respective law enforcement agencies and DOC facilities. If you have questions, you can reach out to her directly at 206-441-4860 x1259 or [email protected].

Please join us in congratulating her and welcoming her in this new role!
