MONROE CORRECTIONAL COMPLEX

  • Business Representative Eric Smith is continuing to process a grievance over the Department’s failure to award a bid and a grievance over the denial of awarding overtime. 
  • Three MCC Teamsters attended our Joint Council #28 Lobby Day on March 25.

WASHINGTON CORRECTIONS CENTER

MISSION CREEK CORRECTIONS CENTER FOR WOMEN

  • We will be holding our Quarterly Membership Meeting on May 1 at MCCCW at 0630 in the Ramirez Room. At our last Quarterly Membership Meeting at MCCCW we had great turnout with 17 members attending.  We are hoping for similar results on May 1!
  • We held our Grievance Review Panel for the west side on Tues April 28 at CBCC.
  • On March 23, we held an LMCC at the facility to discuss general concerns.
  • On May 29, we will hold a statewide LMCC in Tukwila to discuss a number of issues at all facilities.
  • We will be holding a vote for new Shop Stewards at the facility soon.  Thus far, we have 4 members who have signed up for 2 positions.  Stay posted for the date.
LARCH CORRECTIONS CENTER

STAFFORD CREEK CORRECTIONS CENTER

CLALLAM BAY CORRECTIONS CENTER

  • We held our Grievance Review Panel for the west side on Tues April 28 at CBCC.
  • At GRP on April 28, we heard a grievance from CBCC regarding the refusal to award a bid. 
  • Our Shop Stewards at CBCC are stepping up and doing an amazing job.  In addition to informally resolving a lot of issues at facility, they have won the support of over 50 business and published several letters to the editor as well as a guest editorial piece in the Forks Forum.  Three members were featured in a full-page ad that appeared in the Peninsula Daily News.
  • Business Representative Talisa Boad is processing a grievance that is in pre-arbitration related to designated workplace hours.
WASHINGTON CORRECTIONS CENTER FOR WOMEN
