Brothers and Sisters:

We are excited to announce a new website for members of Teamsters Local 117.

The new Local 117 website aims at optimizing your Union's ability to fight for you and your family and to expand your rights, wages and benefits. The site officially went live on Thursday, August 8.

Our overarching goal is to reinvigorate the labor movement in the Pacific Northwest. This new website will help us achieve that goal.

The new site features a contemporary design, clear navigation, and it integrates with new media tools so that members can stay engaged, connect with fellow members, and take political and legislative action.

The new website also enables members to easily join one of Local 117’s caucuses, political action committees, or community action groups. The aim is for members to get more involved and take greater ownership of their union.

I hope you take some time to familiarize yourself with the new site.  

Also, please consider signing the online petitions in support of two campaigns that are critically important to working families in Washington State:

• The fight to win Paid Sick Days for workers in Tacoma; and
• The SeaTac Good Jobs Ordinance aimed at improving the lives of working people at the SeaTac Airport.
