Good news from Olympia today.

The House version of our Assault Benefits bill (HB 2507) unanimously passed out of the House General Government and Information Technology committee this morning.

This is in large part to the many Local 117 members who have spoken out in support of the bill.

On January 26, the same day as our DOC Lobby Day, two members - Joschue Reyes and David Lynch - along with Michelle Woodrow presented powerful testimony before the committee at a hearing on the bill.

You can read parts of that testimony and link to the full audio here.
