The agreement calls for a 2.25 percent general wage increase in 2017 and a 2.75 percent increase in 2018. One percent of the 2018 increase is contingent on the Coalition successfully negotiating a separate Master Agreement by the end of next year.

Perhaps the most significant aspect of the contract is that it creates a separate wage table for coalition members. If your bargaining unit approved the agreement, you will receive a premium for your participation in the Coalition.

In addition, the agreement means you will not pay any health care premium costs for 2017-2018. You will also receive one additional vacation day in 2017 and two vacation days in 2018.

The Coalition of Unions and the County will be getting together soon to discuss a framework for the Master Agreement negotiations and next steps.

Thank you for your participation in the process and for voting on your contract. If you have questions, please talk to your Business Representative or bargaining committee member.
