Law enforcement fatalities increased in 2014

Disturbing news from the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund:

Law enforcement fatalities in the U.S. rose 24 percent in 2014, reversing what had been two years of dramatic declines in line of duty deaths, based on preliminary data compiled and released on December 30, 2014 by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.

According to preliminary data, 126 law enforcement officers died in the line of duty in 2014 as compared with 102 officers in 2013. Check out the NLEOMF report for more information.

Let's hope 2015 is a better year. Remember to stay safe everyone!
