Every year at our DOC Shop Steward meeting, we recognize one of our Stewards for outstanding contributions to the union over the last year.

This year's award goes to Anthony Stovall, an 8-year officer at CBCC. With just two years under his belt as a Steward, Stovall is relatively new in the role, but during his short tenure, he has made an incredible impact. 

During our campaign to fund our contract last year, Stovall along with fellow CBCC leaders Cris White and Scott Henderson, spoke with dozens of small business owners in and around the Port Angeles area and asked them to support the men and women at the DOC.

Our small business campaign was hugely successful in pressuring legislators to fund our contract. We won the campaign in large part to members like Stovall who spent their evenings and weekends educating the community about the challenging work of corrections.
