Congratulations to the winners of the 2015 Jeff Alfieri Scholarship!

The winners were announced by Secretary-Treasurer John Scearcy at our quarterly membership meeting on June 18.  All of the winners will receive $2,500 to attend an accredited college, university, or trade school of their choice.  

Applicants to the Local 117 Jeff Alfieri Scholarship must be the son or daughter of an active member in good standing of Teamsters 117 or the son or daughter of an active member in good standing who passed away.

The founders of the scholarship fund, Ralph and Sue Alfieri, established the scholarship in memory of their son Jeff Alfieri, a former Business Representative with Teamsters Local 117.

The Jeff Alfieri Scholarship winners for 2015 are:

• Irene Puevas Porcincula (father Joseph Porcincula - SCS Refrigerated Services)
• Michael Jeffrey Shea (father Jeffrey Shea - US Foods) 
• Tudi Truong Le (mother Phuong Truong - King County)
