Local 117 Political Action Committees With over 16,000 members statewide, Local 117's ability to impact the electoral landscape is huge and your knowledge and experience are the most powerful tools to hold policy makers accountable to the critical issues impacting our members. Teamsters Local 117 new Political Action Coordinator, Lily Wilson-Codega is organizing Political Action Committees in your area. The purpose of the committees is to fight for issues that matter to Teamsters - issues like jobs, public safety, protection for injured workers, health care, and retirement security. Join your Union sisters and brothers in the fight to protect the rights of working people by participating in your Local Union’s Labor Neighbor program.
With Labor Neighbor, you work side by side with your fellow Union members to help elect leaders who will protect our pensions, fight for better wages, and stand up for the right to affordable healthcare.
With Labor Neighbor, you will: - Register fellow union members to vote
- Engage in voter education
- Build community coalitions
- Get out the vote on election day
- Get to know other union members
